North Atlanta wedding photographer, Abby & Matt mountain wedding

This week I was terrified looking at my weather app for a Tuesday wedding I was to shoot here in the mountains of North Georgia. The forecast said 90% rain at exactly the time I was to arrive for family portraits right before Abby & Matt’s Minimony at Juliet Chapel.

On my way, I thought to myself, I better stop and buy a handful of black umbrellas incase the sky decides to fall out on us and we are limited for photos.

Abby & Matt are not the traditional bride and groom and were just focused on being with one another on this momentous day. All the extra details were not important so long as special memories were captured together and with their closest family members.

The weather turned out to add to the magic of their day because when I arrived, there was a beautiful forest of tall trees filled with fog- NO RAIN!…yet.

We were able to have some fun and adjust our timeline to take some beautiful moody portraits of the bride & groom.

The ceremony was luckily indoors in beautiful Juliet Chapel and was the perfect intimate setting for their family to watch them exchange rings and say their “I Do’s.” with the sound of rain in the background.

After the ceremony we chanced it to take some more photos in the rain and my creative side was just beaming.
